EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
At Ave Maria Pre and Primary School, extra-curricular activities are an essential part of holistic education. These activities complement academic learning by promoting physical fitness, creativity, discipline, teamwork, leadership, and social development, enabling learners to grow into well-rounded and confident individuals.
Sports and Games
Our sports and games program promotes physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition among pupils. Learners participate in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities that improve coordination, strength, and endurance while encouraging cooperation, respect, and sportsmanship.
Tailoring and Basic Sewing
The tailoring and basic sewing program equips learners with practical vocational skills that promote creativity and self-reliance. Pupils are introduced to simple sewing techniques, fabric handling, and basic garment making. This activity helps learners develop hand skills, patience, and appreciation of vocational careers from an early age.
ICT and Digital Skills
The ICT program introduces learners to basic computer skills and digital literacy at an early age. Pupils learn how to use computers responsibly for learning, communication, and creativity. This activity prepares learners for the digital world and supports the school’s goal of equipping children with modern skills.
International Languages Program
Ave Maria Pre and Primary School offers an International Languages program that introduces pupils to Chinese and French. Learners develop basic communication skills and cultural awareness through interactive activities and simple conversations. This program prepares pupils for future academic and global opportunities.
Ave Maria Pre and Primary School believes that learning goes beyond the classroom, and therefore extra-curricular activities are an essential part of our education approach. Through sports, creative arts, ICT, tailoring, language clubs, and leadership activities, pupils are given opportunities to discover their talents, build confidence, and develop practical life skills. These programs support the physical, emotional, social, and moral growth of learners while reinforcing discipline, teamwork, creativity, and self-reliance, preparing them to become responsible and well-rounded individuals in society.
