School Curriculum
Ave Maria Pre and Primary School follows the NECTA English Medium Curriculum as prescribed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Tanzania. The curriculum is designed to provide strong academic foundations while promoting critical thinking, creativity, discipline, and moral values. Instruction is delivered in English, supported by learner-centered teaching methods, continuous assessment, and age-appropriate learning activities to ensure effective understanding and academic progress at both pre-school and primary levels.
Primary Campus
The Primary School Campus provides quality primary education to male and female pupils from Grade I to Grade VII, welcoming children of all ethnic groups and faiths and focusing on their mental, social, moral, and physical development. Each grade has two classroom streams, allowing for effective teaching and close learner support. The academic program follows the national curriculum and is delivered through learner-centered teaching methods that promote understanding, discipline, and character development. Through a balanced approach to academics, co-curricular activities, and values-based education, the primary campus prepares pupils for successful transition to secondary education and responsible participation in society.
Pre-School Campus
The Pre-School Campus at Ave Maria Pre and Primary School offers excellent early childhood education in a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for boys and girls aged 3 to 6 years from all ethnic groups and religious backgrounds. The kindergarten section is structured into three levels: Baby Class (3–4 years), Middle Class (4–5 years), and Preparatory Class (5–6 years), ensuring age-appropriate learning and development. The curriculum focuses on early literacy and numeracy through subjects and activities such as reading, writing, mathematics, English language, phonics, environmental activities, games and sports, and arts and crafts, helping young learners develop confidence, social skills, creativity, and a strong foundation for primary education.
